ATP World Tour Finals, Semi Final: Dimitrov v Sock, 8pm

Dimitrov 1.49, Sock 3.00

Sock leads their previous matches  3-1. They last met in Indian Wells in March this year. Sock won on a hard court in a third set tie break. His two wins on hard courts went to 3 sets. Dimitrov won indoors in 2014 in 3 sets.

Dimitrov has better overall results this year. 71% v 65% of matches won. Indoors they both have excellent results with Dimitrov leading 81% v 73% matches won in 2017.

All the stats this week favour Dimitrov. He was unbeaten in the round robin matches. He needed 3 sets to get past Dominic Thiem in the first match but Both Goffin and Carreno Busta were beaten very comfortably in straight sets.

Grigor Dimitrov

Sock only lost to Federer. He kept both their sets very tight.  Cilic won their opening set but Sock fought back and took the match in a third set tie break. I had expected Zverev to have slight edge over the American and their match did go to a deciding set. It was a messy set and Zverev broke the Sock serve right at the start but had real problems on his own serve and Sock took the win.

Value is on Sock to take a set. Three sets are very likely. I give a slight edge to Dimitrov to make the final. Wait for 1.80 on him before entering.

Update: Dimitrov won 4-6, 6-0, 6-3. A late break lost him the set but he controlled the match after that.
