Every forum needs rules as we have seen more than ever recently.

I wanted to set up a forum for traders to help traders so if anyone joins and it is obvious that they are here to disrupt, antagonise and generally harm the aim of the forum they will get 1 warning and then be banned. If I give a warning then they can't claim that they didn't know the rules.

That doesn't mean we won't have arguments and heated discussions but they must be done with an overall respect for the other members. If you can't express an opinion without sinking to throwing personal insults and abuse then we don't want you here.

Any links should be trading related

No-one sells anything on here. This is purely for traders to help traders.

Any questions from newbies that may seem obvious should be answered with respect. We are all new to this at some point.

That will do for now. I'll add rules if we need them Laugh

An additional rule – Just so we're all clear.

I can accept a link in a post. We'll moderate each one on an individual basis.

However, 2 or more links in one post makes it an advert. I take that as abusing my good nature and it must be avoided at all times.

Totally agree with you. People learn much faster in a friendly atmosphere, not the negativity of some public forums.

Treat others as you want them to treat you and you'll be fine here.

Interesting that we haven't had to add any rules since November LAST year.

I think that demonstrates that trading forums don't have to be full of egos, dick waving and schoolyard insults.
