Halep needs to have a good tournament in Indian Wells

Petersburg on indoor courts. In Dubai they were on outdoor hard courts and she reached the third round and made another final in Acapulco at the end of February.  She beat Annika Beck in straight sets in the last round of this tournament.

Halep has had injury issues for months and she still isn’t fully recovered. She dealt with Vekic easily enough in the last round. She wasn’t at her best but didn’t need to be. She desperately needs a big tournament and this would be a good one to kick start her year.

Mladenovic should put her under a lot of pressure and I think we have a good chance of seeing Halep broken early. Back Halep if she gets broken first.

Halep starts the match around 1.58.
