Giorgi v Kanepi and Dellacqua v Knapp were both rain delayed. You will previews on the blog posts from the last couple of days.
WTA Hobart, 00:30 – Kozlova v Brengle
They have never played before. Brengle has an excellent hard court record over the last 6 months winning 9 of her 11 main draw matches.
In the same period Kozlova won 8 of her 15 matches. She had to come through 3 qualifying rounds to reach the main draw this week. She didn’t drop a set. In the first round of the main draw she recovered from losing the first set to beat Flipkens.
It has been a similar story from Brengle. She also didn’t drop a set in qualifying and came back from a set down to beat Mona Barthel in 3 sets.
Brengle starts as favourite at 1.50 and whilst I expect her to win I want at least 1.70 before backing her. If she takes the first set remove the liability from the trade to leave a free bet on Brengle.
I’ll add the morning games later in the night. A couple of the night time matches are covered for Shark Tips subscribers.
Wow thats been a busy night as Hobart caught up with the delayed matches. We have been able to trade almost non stop on those matches. Good for the bank but not much time for blogging.
I am tempted by Troicki to beat Bolelli. he is a decent price too. The one worry with that is that Bolelli has been serving exceptionally well. Worth a part stake on Troicki from the start and see how he does against that serve.
Pironkova has a great record at this event over the last couple of years. She has raised her level again this year but will need to go up another level still to beat Kvitova. I would expect Kvitova to trade higher than her lowish SP but as long as Kvitova is giving everything she will take it.
