I have had the afternoon from hell! I haven’t been able to post any previews but I will get some up for the evening matches.
I will also post about my afternoon ( its not trading related)
ATP Erste Bank Open, 18:10 – Kohlschreiber v Berlocq
Head to heads are 4-3 to Kohlschreiber although 2 of Berlocq’s win were due to retirement including their most recent meeting at Metz last season. That was Berlocq’s only win on a hard court with Kohlschreiber taking the other 3 ( 2 of therm indoors).
Berlocq has already played one match this week which was a straight sets win over Gerald Melzer. He wasn’t too impressive in that one.
Kohlschreiber retired in Metz with a shoulder injury and has played just one match since which he lost against 210th ranked Puetz last month.
Kohlschreiber is almost always price too low and 1.36 today is short. Berlocq has been able to give him a match every time and Kohlschreiber is worth a lay. I don’t really see what Kohlschreiber has to play for today. He lost at this stage last season.
WTA Kremlin Cup, 19:00 – Pennetta v Giorgi
They have played once this season which was in Indian Wells in March. Pennetta won easily that day but it will be a different match this time.
Giorgi is the player in form and starts as market favourite at 1.64 . She reached the final last week and plays her best tennis when she gets a few wins under her belt ( she calls it a skirt but I see only a belt).
Pennetta hasn’t done much since her quarter final at the US Open and has won just 1 of her 3 matches. She hasn’t played indoors since October 2011 .
I think Giorgi takes this as Pennetta has to be at least a little rusty. I would prefer a higher price than 1.64 but will have a part stake back at the start. I will add more if she goes above evens.
