My hosting company have moved the sites to new servers. Seems they moved a copy of it that was a day old!

ATP Rio Open, 16:15 – Lajovic v Klizan

Head to heads are 1-1 but they have no recent meetings.

Lajovic reached the quarter finals of the last 2 clay events. Klizan reached one quarter final too.

Klizan starts at 1.63 which has drifted a little since this morning. That is too low as I can see this going the distance. Three of Klizan’s last 4 matches have gone to 3 sets and 4 of Lajovic’s last 5 have done the same.

Slight edge to Klizan.

ATP Rio Open, 18:30 – Almagro v Cuevas

These two met last week. Both served well in the first two sets but Almagro tired in the third. That made the head to heads 3-0 to Cuevas.

Cuevas went on to win the title last week but while he was expected to cruise through the final against qualifier Vanni he ended up taking the match in a third set tie break. Does that suggest he was tired? Perhaps.

For a lot of the first 2 sets Almagro seemed to be the stronger player last week. he should be fresher this time and should it go to another deciding set i think he will remain competitive throughout the whole match.

Expect tight sets but if Cuevas is fatigued from last week Almagro isn’t the sort of player you want to come up against at the start of the following week.

ATP Delray Beach, 19:30 – Dodig v Young

These two have never met.

Stats over the last 6 months slightly favour Dodig.  Young’s service holds are a bit higher but Dodig leads all the other categories.

Dodig’s losses this season have all been close.

Young reached the semi finals last week in Memphis losing to Anderson in 3 sets.

The sets in this one will be close as I don’t expect too many breaks of serve. Young has home advantage and if I had to pick an outright winner I would go with him.
