The Shark Tips sneaked into the green for February. 13 winners from the last 18 selections was a good recovery if I do say so myself. There are always ups and downs in tennis betting but it starts to feel a bit personal!
The Daily Trading Spreadsheet is proving popular and I am getting some very positive feedback. Having done it for the past 8 days it has been workable from my point of view so it is here to stay for the foreseeable future. Have you got yours yet? A blog post for every match plus the Wins a Set list plus my own prices for each match. Don’t miss out!
ATP Rio Open, 21:00 – Fognini v Andujar
Fognini leads the head to heads 2-0. Both were on clay and both were won in 2 sets.
The 6 month stats favour Andujar but he has won just 2 matches in 2015. ognini also only has 2 singles wins this season.
There is no way to know what is going on in Fognini’s head at the best of times. He will probably lose the first set easily and then fight back to a third set.
Fognini is at 1.71 which has drifted from 1.63 earlier this morning. I wouldn’t want to be involved as the match came near the end but if Andujar takes an early lead in the match it is worth backing Fognini for a trade. I just don’t think Andujar is the man to take advantage of Fognini antics in his current form.
ATP Delray Beach, 23:00 – Nishioka v Matosevic
These two have never met. The 6 month stats favour Nishioka. He had an easy draw in the qualification rounds but still needed three sets in two them. He served well in the 1st round of the main draw against Sijsling. He forced 12 break points and took 4 of them.
Matosevic surprisingly beat Isner in straight sets. Isner’s second serve was weak. Matosevic saved all 3 of the break points that he faced. That was the first really decent performance from Matosevic.
This will be a serve dominated match with very few breaks so Matosevic’s SP is too low. Three sets look quite possible. It is hard to pick an outright winner but Value is on Nishioka.
