WTA Portugal, 11:00 – Clay isn’t Bouchard’s best surface but in her only recent clay court  tournament in Charleston she reached the semi final.

Kleybanova has had her own recent success with a quarter final last week in Stuttgart.

Whilst Bouchard doesn’t enter a lot of clay events she performs well. her power game has to be adapted to the slower surface.

Bouchard starts at 1.45 which is probably about right but as usual I want a higher entry. Their stats are very close for the last month and i can see Bouchard trading higher.

If Bouchard gets an early break I will lay her for a trade but otherwise will wait for 1.70 or better on Bouchard.

WTA Portugal, 13:00Begu has been in excellent form on the clay this season. She has been in 3 finals in ITF events winning two of them. She has won through the qualifying rounds this week which included a win over Bertens.

Nara won the title in Rio in February. She hasn’t had much time on the clay since then but was involved in a Fed Cup tie with the Netherlands where she lost to Bertens.

This one could easily go to 3 sets but if Nara can play close to her best I expect her to take it.
