2nd March 2015

WTA BMW Malaysian Open, 12:00 – Kulichkova v Jovanovski

They have never played. The 6 month stats favour Kulichkova.

She has come through the qualification rounds. Her serve was poor in the first round of qualification but improved in her second match.

Kulichkova has had some tight losses including against Tomljanovic and Rodionova.

Jovanovski has just 2 wins in Her last 10 matches. One was due to retirement and one was  against out of form Torro Flor.

No value on Kulichkova at SP but unless Jovanovski finds some form Kulichkova should take this.

WTA Abierto Monterrey, 19:00 – Larsson v Bertens

They have never played. The 6 month stats strongly favour Larsson. She has reached a semi final and a quarter final in her last 2 events. She lost to eventual champions Errani and Bacsinszky.

Bertens’ form hasn’t been great. She has just two main draw wins this year and one of those was due to Vinci retiring.  She is a better player than her recent record suggests but a lot of her issues are in her head.

Larsson has to be the pick on recent form but as usual wait for a better entry price. She may have a fatigue problem this week and she doesn’t often go deep in consecutive weeks.
