A lot of matches this week are proving to be difficult to predict. It keeps it interesting!

ATP Paris Masters, 13:30 – Dimitrov v Murray

They have played twice this season and Dimitrov won both matches. Their last meeting was at Wimbledon and Dimitrov won in straight sets. There was clearly something that had upset Murray just before the match judging by a couple of angry outbursts aimed at his box where his mum, girlfriend and coach sat. No doubt he will be looking to get some revenge for that defeat today.

Murray is still pushing for a place at the World Tour Finals and has won his last two tournaments. I don’t know if he will have enough energy for a tough 3 set match with Dimitrov who has become more consistent this season.

Murray starts at 1.56 and given his hectic recent schedule that feels too low. He really needs to get off to a fast start but I think it is more likely that we will see a higher price on him during the early part of the match.

I have read that if Murray wins today he qualifies for the Finals at the O2. I think he has to go all out to get the win so he can relax a little. We will see if its enough. I will wait for a higher early price on Murray.

WTA Tournament of Champions, 15:45 – Pennetta v Muguruza

Both players performed better than I expected in their first match. Pennetta took full advantage of a poor performance by Cornet and Muguruza totally outplayed Makarova.

Muguruza didn’t face a single break point against Makarova. She had 7 break chances herself and broke 5 times.

Pennetta also didn’t face a break point and was able to take 5 of the 12 that she had on the Cornet serve.

This should be a good battle. All the matches so far have been won in straight sets which limits the trading opportunities although Cibulkova and Pironkova gave us a double break against the first set winner.

I think Muguruza showed better tennis and will come through a tight match. She starts at 1.70 . I will wait for a price above 2.00 .
