ATP Budapest: Pouille v Vesely (1pm)

Vesely leads the head to heads  2-1. The last meeting was In Davis Cup in July last season. They played on an indoor hard court. Pouille won in straight sets. They have never played on clay.

Over all stats in the last 12 months favour Pouille. This year they are very closely matched on clay.

Pouille should come through in a tight match.

Pouille reached the semi finals in Monte Carlo. His form has been inconsistent this season but he seems to be improving on that recently.

Vesely has had some decent results this year. He reached the semi finals in Marrakech 2 weeks ago and also the third round in Miami on hard courts.

I favour Pouille to take a tight match. We have a fair chance of 3 sets

Back him if he gets broken.

Update: Pouille was broken in the third game of the match. He broke Vesely twice later in the set to take it 6-3.  Vesely took the match to 3 sets and it was Pouille who won in a third set tie break.
