ATP Monte Carlo, Quarter Final: Gasquet v Zverev

Zverev needs to improve his serve from the last match but should be up for the Gasquet challenge

Due to start at 3 pm

Gasquet 2.64, Zverev 1.60

Zverev leads their previous matches 3-1. They last met in August 2017 in Canada. Zverev won on a hard court in a third set tie break.  He won their last 3 matches. They have never met on clay.

Head to head info from Tennis Insight

Better overall results for Zverev in the last 12 months and also in 2018. Both players have strong clay records in the last year. Both lost 4 clay matches. Gasquet won 14, Zverev won 17.

Gasquet has not lost a set so far.  Chardy gave him his toughest test with Gasquet winning 6-4, 7-6. Schwartzman and Mischa Zverev might have been expected to put him under more pressure than either of them did.

Alexander Zverev

Zverev needed 3 sets in both his matches. His serve came under a lot of pressure from Struff in the last round. He was broken 7 times.

Really not that much between them this week. The sets should be close.  Back Zverev above 1.85 or if he loses set 1. As always, remove or reduce liability after a significant price move in our favour.

Update: Very slow start from Zverev who went a double break down. He recovered a little but lost the set. Very tight 3rd set
Zverev won 4-6, 6-2, 7-5
