Due to start at 11:30
Norrie 2.62, Sonego 1.60
This will be their first meeting.
Overall results favour Sonego in the last 12 months and also in 2019. His ROI is a lot higher. Clay results also favour him.
Sonego has come through the qualifying rounds and then beat fellow Italian Andreas Seppi and Russian Karen Khachanov with identical 7-6, 6-4 scorelines. He didn’t face a single break point against Seppi and was broken just once by Khachanov.
Norrie hasn’t lost a set so far. He beat Marton Fucsovics in the last round. I had expected a close match but Norrie really lifted his game and took more than the set I had predicted for him.
We have a decent chance of 3 sets but I give Sonego the edge. This is a tricky match to price up as Norrie can play above his average level when he’s in the mood. Back Sonego around 1.90.
