Due to start at 2 pm.
Zverev 1.40, Isner 3.40
Zverev leads their previous matches 5-1. Their most recent meeting was in the Laver Cup exhibition in September. Zverev won in 3 sets on an indoor court. That was their only indoor match. Isner’s win was in March on a hard court. He won in 3 sets.
Much stronger results for Zverev in 2018. His indoor results are also better. He has won 69% of his matches compared to 38% for Isner.
Isner has played well this week but still lost both his matches. He took the opening set from Cilic and lost in a very tight deciding set. Against Djokovic he didn’t have a single break point but fought hard and gave a decent performance.
After a slow start Zverev took his match with Cilic in straight sets. He was 2-5 down in the opening set. Djokovic beat him in straight sets but he gave the world number 1 some problems in the early part of the match. He pushed Djokovic’s price from 1.20 to almost 1.59.
I have to favour Zverev but obviously as Isner is serving well he can keep the sets tight. Isner needs tie breaks if he is to take a set. Some value on Isner.
Back Zverev around 1.70.
