Koukalova won their only previous match. That was in June last year on grass and she won in straight sets.
Koukalova had a pretty awful season in 2015 though she ended it with a final in an ITF hard court event.
Gibbs has come through the qualifying rounds without dropping a set. She has won 8 of her last 10 matches on hard courts. She also ended last season strongly and reached the final of the Challenger in Carlsbad where she lost to Wickmayer.
You never really know what you will get from Koukalova. She lost her 1st match of 2016. It should be worth a lay on Gibbs as she looks too low at 1.35. Kouk may start well before she remembers that she is rubbish. This will be a messy match with a lot of breaks of serve.
Lay Gibbs around 1.20
