Radwanska leads their previous meetings 3-1. The most recent was in March last season on a hard court. Suarez Navarro won in 3 sets.
Radwanska had looked very solid in her first 3 matches but looked like she was on her way out against Friedsam in the 4th round. She lost the opening set and in the third she was 5-2 down. She managed to use her greater experience to win the next 6 games and the match.
Suarez Navarro hasn’t looked as reliable. She dropped a set to qualifier Sakkari in round 2. In the 3rd round Kulichkova retired in the 2nd set. Against Gavrilova in the 4th round she didn’t win a game in the opening set but thanks to a bit of a meltdown by Gavrilova she was able to fight back to take the win.
Radwanska was shown to be vulnerable in the last round but if she approaches this match with the right attitude she will come out on top.
I don’t see any value at 1.31 after her last performance. Back Radwanska if she gets broken first.
