Here we go with another Grand Slam. Lots of matches on at the same time so liquidity may be stretched. A large proportion of the matches off little or no value at the beginning so patience is the name of the game.
My research isn’t quite complete even though I started last night and was up at 6:30 this morning so I will post some brief thoughts on a few matches once I have had some breakfast.
Devvarman always seems over rated to me. I just don’t get why so many people love him and think he will some day make that break through. He is up against Munoz De La Nava who on his day can compete with the higher ranked players on clay.
Munoz De La Nava stats as slight favourite and if I can get on above evens I will start to enter my stake. They are fairly close in the stats so probably De La Nava in 4 sets.
Llodra performs well in front of a home crowd but this isn’t his best surface. Head to heads with Darcis are 2-2 but the Belgian has won both their clay court meetings.
Llodra reached the 4th round in 2008 but since then has reached the second round just once ( last year). Darcis has come through the qualifying rounds and despite being under dog I think he has a great chance in this one.
Llodra starts at 1.83 which is an awful price to lay at. If I can get below 1.50 I will be laying.
Beygelzimer and Garcia should be a close one. Garcia is slightly favoured due to home advantage but if you like swingy matches then this is one for you. Nothing much to choose between them but I will be looking for a lowish lay on Beygelzimer as i expect Garcia to take this one.
The other matches don’t look too exciting to be honest ( other than the ones I have selected for the betting tips ). So I will leave it there for today. The sun outside is looking more appealing so I might take the laptop out there 🙂
