Rain in Barcelona meant play was suspended in the afternoon. The players affected will have to play 2 games today to catch up.

Troicki has found a little form this week but has had 2 fairly  straight forward opponents in Kamke and Matosevic. Today he plays Rosol who looked impressive in his win over Seppi in the last round.

Rosol starts as slight favourite but I will be waiting to get on him above 2.20. If the players hold serve 2 or 3 times each we have a good chance of the market swinging wildly while traders try to decide who is strongest.

Almagro starts at 1.63 against Monaco. Of the two I would say Monaco is in the better form.  He has had bagels in the first set in both his matches. Tomic was also battered in the second set but Chardy at least made a game of it in the last round and had set points in the second set tie break.

Almagro has also come through 2 rounds without dropping a set but I get the feeling he is vulnerable against a strong opponent right now.

I seem to be the only person who thinks so but I can see Monaco taking this very close. Three sets are a real possibility but Almagro at home should just be too strong.

LI Na failed at the final hurdle as a betting pick today but for trading purposes I am still going with her. She is up against Kvitova who came through a tough 3 setter with Goerges yesterday.

Li beat Lucic-Baroni ( whose name always makes me think of the cartoon Danger Mouse ) in straight sets.

I don’t fancy the starting price of 1.46 on Li but if I can get on her above 1.70 I will be happier. I expect her to be more consistent and to punish Kvitova’s second serve.
