Andreev v Benneteau

Could be an interesting match. Andreev is the market favourite at 1.63. Rankings are 28 and 68 so that price looks like decent value. Head to head is 2-1 to Benneteau with Andreev winning their only meeting on clay.

But Andreev hasn’t played a tournament since Wimbledon so is he is lacking match practice on today’s surface. If Benneteau doesn’t spend too long doing his hair he could make a match of this.

Andreev’s serve is a great weapon, even on clay and he should come through this one safely. However the lack of clay court play puts doubt in my mind. So Scalping or 15-40 is the recommended strategy. Be wary of using 15-40 against Andreev’s serve though!

Update:  Benneteau had a good hair day and took the first set 6-4. Plenty of price swings in that first set for scalpers and 15-40’s to profit. He won the second 6-3 . A VERY good hair day 🙂

Chardy v Beck

Chardy won his first title last week. How that affects him we will find out today. His confidence will obviously be sky high but he could suffer a reaction and find  it hard to find motivation.

Rankings are 32 and 52 so we could see a few errors today. Chardy looks decent value at 1.58 but with doubt in my mind, Scalping is recommended along with 15-40 for the newbies.

Update: Chardy won 7-6, 7-6. I wasn’t able to trade this one so don’y know how the match progressed. However, even in matches with a tight scoreline its unusual for there not to be enough swings for scalping. if anyone happens to have a screen shot of the graph I would be interested in seeing it ( yes I know, I’m sad! )
