Grand Prix Hassan II – Monday

13:00 – Andujar v Serra

Rankings are 69 and 79. Head to heads are 1-0 to Serra.

Serra won their only previous meeting but that was 3 years ago and Andujar has improved immensely since then.

At this stage of the season last year Serra got behind in a match and pretty much threw it away. It was felt he was more interested in Monte Carlo the following week but plays this tournament as Casablanca is where his father was born. He does have a decent record here in the last 2 years but his form has dropped in the last 12 months.

Andujar has better stats on serve with 72% holds on clay over the last 12 months to Serra’s 69%.

Their return of serve stats are very similar although Andujar creates slightly more break chances.

I’ll be backing Andujar from the start with half stakes. I feel if Serra goes behind he won’t bust a gut trying to get back into it. If Serra does win the first set, lay him. If Andujar takes the opening set i think it will be over in two sets.

You could also back Andujar on serve with the other part of your stake.
