Youzhny v Kendrick
Rankings 70 and 80. neither player has done much to improve their rankings this season and I doubt this will be much of a spectacle but promises to have plenty of errors and price swings 😉
Market prices are 1.73 and 2.28 which is just about right in my opinion. Wouldn’t want to be backing Youzhny from the start though and 15-40 or Scalping are my recommendations.
Their recent records are very very similar. Even down to the fact that when they have lost in 3 or 4 sets they have won the first! ( Youzhny against Chardy and Kendrick took the 1st set v Andy Murray at Wimbledon )
Update: 3 setter! Perfect for scalpers 😉
Youzhny won 7-5, 3-6, 6-1 . Never ceases to amaze me how different one set can be from the next.
Hopefully that match finishes in time to let us trade
Petzschner v Gabashvili
The market has them just about even. Rankings are 45 and 76. Gabashvili has done quite well for me recently. He prefers clay courts and may be outgunned today.
Tough one to call and 15-40 or scalping will be my recommendations. With this being on hard courts there will be fewer breaks of serve but choosing games where the players are ranked outside the top 30 increases our chances of price swings. They tend to be less consistent with less potent serves.
If you have the chance to let an open back bet run a little from a 15-40 opportunity ( ie if one player looks more likely to win their service games) then I would do so.
2 tight sets. Probably Petzschner moving into the second round.
Update: Liquidity for this game was a little below my minimum of 50K matched at the start. The 50K was easily passed early in the game.
Petzchner won in 3 sets, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. Another great match for price swings 🙂
