09:30 – Davydenko v Djokovic (Live on bet365)
Rankings are 8 and 4 and head to heads 2-1 to Djokovic.
They haven’t played for almost a year. Davydenko is a more consistent player than he was a year ago. This should be a good one to watch.
Davydenko has a higher first serve percentage at 69% to Djokers 63%. Djokovic wins 85% of his service games to his opponent’s 82%. Djokovic saves 65% of break points to Davy’s 62%.
Djoker tends to have to work harder to hold his service games as his first serve can be shaky at times. He’s in great form though and I expect him to win this Semi.
These two are among the best returners of serve and I can see it being quite close.
Back Djokovic on serve but be ready for a few nervy moments!
Update: Great match! Very tight from start to finish. Just one break of serve in the first set and again in the second. That took us to a decider. A few break points had the prices jumping all over the place. The momentum moving from one layer to the other.
The 3rd set went to a tie break and it was surprisingly one sided. Davydenko winning it in the end. Djokovic was too defensive throughout the match but Davydenko was a deserved winner.
Trading wise I was able to green up at the end of the first set but foolishly didn’t. My punishment? By the time Davydenko had won the second set I was looking at a a red screen of -£40. I was tempted to try to pull that back in the 3rd but decided against it. It was too close to call and being on the wrong side of a break would have been costly with little time to recover.
So I took my medicine for being a pratt 🙁
