St Petersburg Open – Tues

10:00 – Dolgopolov Jr. v Ginepri

Rankings are 142 and 88.  They have never met.

Its tough to call any match right at the moment! Players who have reached the latter stages of tournaments have obviously played more games and there are a lot of tired, battered bodies out there.

Ginepri is favourite for this one if he doesn’t retire or stub his toe or something…….

Backing him on serve is an option. I am wary of saying back him from the start and perhaps another option is the scalping method ( on the members site )

He SHOULD win in straight sets which probably means its a dead cert for him to lose in a 3rd set decider 😉

Update: Am i jinxed this week? Ginepri retired after 1 game of the second set having lost the first 6-2.

12:00 – Granollers v Kuznetsov

Granollers is ranked 79 and his opponent is unranked.

Granollers price is 1.64 to back. Your options are to back him on serve or to use the 15-40.

I don’t often recommend the 15-40 for mens games on a hard court but there’s a good chance Granollers will get a few chances to break.

Update: Unbelievable. They shared the first 2 sets by winning a tie break each.  Kuznetsov won the decider 6-4.
