Wednesday’s matches

Granollers had an easy win against local player Bohli in the last round. He didn’t seem to have any problems with his arm injury. Andreev came through against Zverev but it wasn’t as easy as expected.

Andreev won their only previous match which was also on clay last year. It went to 3 sets with Granollers taking the opening set. Andreev has no recent success to speak of whereas Granoller reachd the quarter final sof the Mercedes Open.

Probably a close first  set and i expect Granollers to come through. I’ll place a half stake on him from the start.

Update: Granollers was all over Andreev and took the opening set. The match was delayed by rain until Thursday.

Robredo could have a tough match with Berlocq. Both are in decent form although Berlocq has gone off the boil slightly. He should be motivated here as Robredo would be a great scalp for him.

Robredo starts at 1.62 and can often start slowly before he gets his serve going. If Berlocq can lift his game a little he is more than capable of taking the first set.

I would expect Robredo to come through a tight match in 3 sets.

Update: Robredo withdrew before the match started.

Baltacha and Razzano meet in the Citi Open. Head to heads are 2-0 to Razzano.

Baltacha looked a little shaky in her last match and Razzano is unlikely to let her off the hook as easily as Shvedova did. Razzano took care of Doi who had a good run at Wimbledon in 2 easy sets so appears to have regained some form.

1.85 is a tempting price on Razzano but i will wait before getting involved to see how they are playing on the day.

I expect Razzano to come through in 2 tight sets.

Update: Poor quality match from both players. Razzano won 6-4, 6-2.
