Wimbledon 2011 Seeds

The seeds were announced today.

 The seeds for the mens’ tournament are the top 32 ranked players who are then rearranged to take into account achievements on grass over the past 2 years.

 For the womens toournamnt the seeds follow the top 32 ranked players except for if the seeding committee consider that changes need to be made to give a balanced draw. The only changes this year are the Williams sisters with Serena at 7 and Venus at 23 after the withdrawal of Kim Clijsters.
