Stosur won their only previous meeting. That was in 2009 on grass. She won in 3 sets at Wimbledon.
Mattek Sands beat Kvitova in 2 tie breaks in the last round. Kvitova’s 2nd serve was terrible and it was 2 double faults that finally gave the match to Mattek Sands. She has come through the qualifying rounds and has lost just 1 set in 5 matches.
Stosur has been in excellent form on clay. She reached the third round in

Madrid and then won the title in Strasbourg last week. She has not dropped a set this week. She has only been broken a total of 3 times in her 2 matches.
I won’t be backing Stosur at 1.34 as we have a good chance of seeing a better price on her. Back Stosur if Mattek Sands breaks and then holds her own serve.
