Arruabarrena 2.84, Bencic 1.51
This will be their first meeting.
Bencic is by far the better player. Her weakness is that she is injury prone. She retired from an ITF quarter final in France in March. She played 2 weeks later in her home country but lost weakly to Carina Witthoeft. She missed the next 5 months and returned
in September. Since she came back she has played 2 indoor tournaments on the ITF tour. She won the title in the first and reached the semi final the week after. This week she had a good win in the last round over Flipkens. She has won 9 of her last 10 matches indoors and 14 of 20 this year indoors.
Lara Arruabarrena has won less than half her matches this season. She doesn’t have a great record indoors with 3 wins from her last 10. This year she won 2 of her 6 indoor matches. In the last round she beat Niculescu as underdog. Niculescu retired after being broken in their deciding set. Arruabarrena had a poor day from the service line and won just 4 of 22 points on second serve (22%).
I have to favour Bencic for this one as long as she does not feel any adverse effects from her third set tie break win in the last round.
Wait for 1.75 before backing
