Due to start at 4:30 pm
Minella 2.88, Siniakova 1.52
Siniakova won their only previous meeting. That was in March 2013 on a hard court in Miami. She won in 3 sets. Overall results favour Minella in the last 12 months and also in 2019. Her clay results have also been stronger.
Siniakova has been very inconsistent this season. That has been mainly due to her having problems on serve. She reached the semi finals last season but her form has not reached 2018 levels this season. She did beat Qiang Wang last week in Rome but it was a messy match with 15 breaks of serve. Eight of those were on the Siniakova serve.
Minella didn’t start the season particularly well but more recently has start to play the sort of tennis we saw from her in 2018. Last week she dropped down to an ITF clay tournament in Spain and reached the quarter finals.
Lay Siniakova around 1.35 to 1.40 and remove liability at 1.75. We have a very good chance of seeing 3 sets. Minella has a really good chance to win unless Siniakova sorts out her serve issues.
