Due to start at 4 pm
Parmentier 1.89, Pegula 2.08
This will be their first meeting.
Much stronger results for Pegula who has come through the qualifying rounds. She came back well against Kenin in the semi finals. She lost a tight opening set but bounced back to easily take set 2. The deciding set was a little messy and by the end of it both players were having problems holding serve.
Parmentier has found some form from nowhere this week. She has struggled with consistency this season. She beat Heather Watson in a third set tie break in the last round. She beat Lepchenko in the quarter final. Lepchenko had also lifted her game this week but was beaten in straight sets.
Stats for the tournament favour Pegula on everything except service holds. Both have served well this week.
I favour Pegula to win this but Parmentier is proving to be a tough opponent so far. Lay Parmentier around 1.60 and remove liability at 2.20. Three sets seem likely.
