Kerber leads the head to heads 5-4. She has won their last 3 meetings including last month at the US Open.
New world number 1 Kerber lost the opening set to Mladenovic in the last round but fought back and won the match in a tight 3rd set. She served pretty well over all and was broken just twice.
Kvitova has been very comfortable in her 2 matches including against Svitolina in the last round. Svitolina was ready for a rest and didn’t put up too much of a fight.
I can see this going to 3 sets but have to favour Kerber to win. She starts around 1.60 but I would like at least 1.85 before backing.
