Due to start at 11:30
Sabalenka 1.75, Barty 2.30
Barty won their only previous match. That was at this year’s Australian Open in January. She won on a hard court in 3 sets.
Barty’s overall results are stronger this season. Hard court results are very even but slightly favour Sabalenka. Stats for the week show they are very even on serve but Barty has been stronger on return.
Sabalenka dropped sets to Suarez Navarro and Svitolina in the opening two rounds but in form Kenin and Cibulkova were despatched in straight sets. Kenin didn’t play a great match but Cibulkova put her under a little more pressure.
Barty beat Konta in 2 sets in the first round but had to recover from a poor opening set against Zheng in round two. Kerber made her work hard for their opening set but faded badly after losing the set. Pavlyuchenkova was having a great tournament and made Barty work very hard for her three sets win in the quarter final.
Value is on Barty as underdog. We have a good chance of 3 sets. Lay Sabalenka around 1.60 and remove liability at 2.20. Lay the set one winner.
