WTA French Open, Quarter Final Predictions

These predictions are aimed at traders rather than punters. When assessing a match, I initially look for 2 things. Who do I think will win and how competitive will the other player be?
Use them for straight bets if you wish but please bear in mind that is not what they are intended for.

Keys 3-0. Most recent Jan 2026, hard, 3 tie breaks. 3 sets win on grass in June 2025. 2 sets win on hard in 2024. Clay win %’s favour Keys.

Keys reached the Quarter final last season. Easy win in the 1st round. 2 sets win over Ruzic in the 2nd round. 3 sets win over Mboko in the 3rd round.
CH final in May. 3rd round in Rome 2026. Semi finals in Charleston 2026.

Shnaider reached the 2nd round last year. 2 sets win over Zarazua in the 1st round. 2 sets win over Kessler in the 2nd round. 2 sets win in the 3rd round.
2nd round in Rome 2026, 3rd round in Madrid 2026. Quarter finals in Charleston 2026.

12 month stats and 2026 stats favour keys on serve and Shnaider on return.
Chance of 3 sets.
Back Keys around 2.20 to 2.30 and remove liability at 1.75.

Update Keys started the match priced at 1.71.

Shnaider served first and was broken to 15. I laid Keys at 1.45.

Shnaider went 0-40 behind. I laid Keys at 1.48. She saved the 3 break points. She was eventually broken.

Keys was again broken to 30. I hedged at 1.73.

Keys was taken to deuce twice and was eventually broken. We were potentially just a couple of games from the end of the set. I placed a small lay on Shnaider at 1.60.

Stats for the set were poor for both players but Keys won just 3 of her 11 second serve points which is dismal.
After the set, Shnaider was priced at 1.40/1.41.

Keys served first. I had favoured her to win pre match. My current position was a small green on Shnaider and a larger green on Keys. I added to my position by laying Shnaider at 1.41. My liability was small.

Keys held to 15.

Shnaider faced a break point at 30-40. I removed some of the liability at 1.56. She saved 2 break points in that game and held serve.

Keys had a low first serve percentage in that set but won 85% of first serve points and 82% of second serve points. Shnaider had a much better first serve percentage of 76% but only won 53% of first serve points. She was also very strong on second serve.

Keys was price at 1.69/1.70 after the set.

Shnaider served first in the third set. She went 15-40 behind. Keys’ price dropped to 1.42. I was tempted to lay but in deciding sets, I prefer to wait for the break. Shnaider saved the break points and went on to hold.

Quite a collapse from Keys after a strong second set.
