WTA Rouen
Podrez v Boulter 1.50
Due to start at 2 pm
Confidence rating 7/10
1st meeting. Clay win %’s are even.
Podrez has come through the qual rounds. Very easy win over Stephens in the 1st round. 3 sets win over Cocciaretto in the 2nd round.
All her clay matches in the last year were in ITF’s. ITF semi in Aug.
Boulter had an easy win in the 1st round. 3 sets win over Cristian in the 2nd round.
She reached the 2nd round of the French Open 2025. CH title in May. 2nd round in Madrid 2025.
Stats for the tournament favour Boulter on serve.
Podrez was poor on serve in the last round. She was fortunate that Cocciaretto managed to be even worse.
Back Boulter around 1.95 to 2.20 and remove liability at 1.65.
Match prediction: Boulter in 2 sets.
Embed from Getty ImagesUpdate: Boulter started the match priced at 1.64. Boulter served first and was broken to 30. I backed Boulter at 1.98.
In the next game, Podrez was broken to 15. I removed half the liability at 1.71. I kept the green on Boulter.
In the next game, Boulter saved 4 break points but was eventually broken. She was not serving well so I kept my position on her but did not add to it. Podrez then had a hold to 30 to lead 3-1.
Boulter was then broken for a third time, this time to 0. She trailed by a double break. As the price should not go too much lower in the set, I laid Podrez at 1.53.
Podrez was broken in the next game to 15. Her price rose to 1.73. As i had favoured Boulter pre match, I wanted to give her a chance to recover. In her next service game, She faced 2 break points but recovered to hold.
Podrez served at 4-3 and was broken to 15. I hedged on Boulter at 1.55. What a mess of a set, and it wasn’t over yet. 6 of the 8 games had been breaks and only 1 of the games did not have a break point.
Not surprisingly, Boulter was broken in the next game. Podrez served for the set at 5-4. Very surprisingly, she held to 15!.
Stats weren’t great for either player but were a little better for Podrez. She hadn’t served well all week. Something about her game made the opponents struggle from the service line too.
2 from 15 on second serve for Boulter! Not good when your serve is usually very strong.

Podrez ended the set priced at 1.50. Boulter served first in the second set. She had only held serve once in the first set and had to save 2 break points in that game! I waited for her to have her service game before entering.
Boulter was broken after missing out on a game point! I laid Podrez at 1.33. I had a decent profit from the first set so the lay was risk free.
In the next game, Podrez saved a break point but when she faced a second one, she was broken. I backed Podrez at 1.52 using the same stake that I had used to lay her. This left me with a decent profit on Boulter and a bigger profit on Podrez.
Boulter was broken again in the next game. Broken to 15. Still only one hold for her in the match. I left my position alone. Podrez followed that with a hold to 30 and then broke Boulter yet again to lead 4-1.
Podrez held to 0 for a 5-1 lead. You’ll be surprised that Boulter was broken for the 8th time to give the set and the match to Podrez.
Podrez won 6-4, 6-1. She must have voodoo dolls of all her opponents!
Nice profit. HORRIBLE match.
