ATP Rome Masters, Quarter Final: Del Potro v Djokovic (8pm)

Djokovic leads their previous meetings 13-4. They have met twice this year. Both were on hard courts and Djokovic won both in 3 sets. They have not met on clay since 2011 when Djokovic won at the French Open in 4 sets.

Del Potro beat Nishikori in 2 sets yesterday. He was broken twice. I

We should have another tight match

thought Nishikori’s returning ability would give him a great chance of winning that match. and that the slower surface would take away Del Potro’s edge over him. He took the opening set in a tie break and finished the win in straight sets.

Djokovic has been broken once in each of his matches this week. I still don’t think he is at his best and he is  not creating the number of chances that we expect to see from him.

Del Potro is serving well enough to give us some value on him to take a set. Djokovic starts the match around 1.50. Back him if he loses set 1
