WTA China Open, 09:00 – Muguruza v Bacsinszky
Muguruza won both their previous matches. She won at the Australian Open and Wimbledon this season.
She was injured last week but has seemed fine this week. She has been striking the ball well. She didn’t always look happy with herself yesterday in her win over Radwanska.
Bacsinszky has struggled for form since Wimbledon but has improved a great deal this week.
There’s a good chance we see 3 sets but I am going with Muguruza to get the win. Back Muguruza if she is a break behind.
ATP China Open, 12:30 – Djokovic v Nadal
Nadal leads 23 -21. Djokovic won 6 of their last 7 matches. Nadal’s win was at the French Open last year.
Djokovic won 47 of his last 50 matches. He saved all 5 break points in his first match against Bolelli but didn’t face a single break point in his next 2 matches. Ferrer put him under more pressure and had 5 break chances. he took 2 of them.
Nadal has played well this week but has not been near his best. I don’t give him much chance today but 1.14 is too low. We need Nadal to take the first set for value on Djokovic
