15th April 2014

Another horrible day for value! We could have done with the IPL cricket starting yesterday instead of tomorrow.

At least the matches are finished early in the day so we can enjoy the sun.

Monte Carlo, 11:30 – Wasn’t Melzer going to retire? He has been out with a shoulder injury since last season. He takes on Benneteau today.

Melzer will take 2 or 3 matches to get back into the swing of things. Hopefully we see a better entry price on Benneteau in the early games.

Monte Carlo, 14:00Cilic looks a little low at 1.56 against Verdasco. The Spaniard won a rare title last week though and we probably won’t see his best tennis today.

Verdasco leads the head to heads 5-4 but Cilic has won their last two. They have never played on clay.

I don’t see Verdasco tanking this but I think he will need to win the first set for the match to keep his interest. The sets should be close so I want  a higher entry on Cilic.

Update: Verdasco pulled out before the match.

I’m really struggling to find inspiration on the remaining matches. The Monfils v Anderson match is covered for Shark tips.

Tsonga looks low against Kohlschreiber although he has won their last 5 meetings and leads the head to heads 6-1.

1.70 would be a better entry price on the Frenchman.

Almagro may well be tired from his trip to the final last week. 1.40 against Mathieu would normally be an excellent price on him on clay.

neither player has a great record in Monte Carlo.

Almagro could make a slow start here and I will look to back him a break down.
