WTA AEGON Classic, 13:00 – Pironkova v Kerber

Head to heads are  2-2. They each won on a hard court in 2014. All their matches were on hard courts.

Pironkova has a good record on grass but lost both her matches in 2014 on this surface. She had an easy win in the first round over the young British Wild Card Katie Swan.

It has been a good season so far for Kerber although she has had a few dodgy matches along the way. She reached the final in Eastbourne and the quarter finals at Wimbledon last year.

We have a decent chance of Kerber starting slowly as its her first match on grass since Wimbledon.

Back Kerber when a break behind.

ATP AEGON Championships, 14:00 – Anderson v Wawrinka

In their previous meetings they stand at 3-3. Anderson won the last 3. They have never met on grass.

Anderson came so close to losing in the first round. Hewitt served for the match in set 2 but was broken. Anderson served 22 aces and no double faults.

Wawrinka made light work of beating Kyrgios. He saved all 3 of his break points. Wawrinka has struggled against Anderson in the past but grass helps him in this match up. Anderson looked like Bambi on ice at times against Hewitt and doesn’t move well on this surface.

1.37 is too low though as it is likely to be a small number of points deciding the set winner. Lay Wawrinka below 1.20 for a trade. I expect him to win a tight match.
