ATP Nice, 10:00 – Isner has beaten Jack Sock in both their previous meetings. He is the top seed this week but lost in the same round last year, also as a slight favourite.
Sock has come through 3 qualifying rounds although he had easy opponents. He beat De Schepper in the first round in straight sets.
Isner is a decent clay court player and could be looking to get some rest before next week. A little court time won’t hurt his preparation though and I don’t see him throwing this match.
Sock has had 4 matches to get used to the conditions and that may tip things in his direction. As long as Sock is able to put pressure on Isner’s serve then I will look to lay Isner below 1.40.
It should be a tight match but don’t be surprised to see Isner go out.
Update: Limp performance in the end from Sock. Isner won 6-4, 6-3.
ATP Dusseldorf, 13:00 – Melzer has played well this week but today’s opponent has beaten him in both their previous matches. Sousa’s recent form isn’t great though and so I expect Melzer to get the win. However he doesn’t often do things the easy way and I will wait for him to go a break behind before backing him.
More to come unless our Grandchild finally arrives today. He/she is over a week overdue 🙂
Morning,
First, very best wishes for the new arrival – I hope all goes smoothly.
A quick question on your daily home page selections – are they intended to be traded, or simple backs or lays ???

Thanks,
I try to give info to help people who are trading the matches.
