Moselle Open, 17:00 – Wawrinka v Brown
Brown won their only previous meeting. That was in April 2014 on clay and he won in 3 sets.
Wawrinka didn’t play last year so his motivation is hard to assess. It was a good win for Brown in the first round over Ram.
A lot of the players who played Davis Cup at the weekend haven’t started their matches well this week. We need to see if Wawrinka looks interested before backing. There is no value at 1.22 anyway. Back him if he loses the first set unless he looks like he doesn’t care.
Moselle Open, 18:45 – Roger-Vasselin v Simon
Simon has won all 3 of their previous meetings. The most recent was in February this season. That was on an indoor hard court and he won in 2 sets.
Roger Vasselin has come through the qualifying rounds this week. He hasn’t dropped a set so far including his main draw win over de Schepper.
Simon didn’t play this event last year but he won the title in his last 2 visits in 2013 and 2010. He has lost in the 1st round of his last 3 tournaments including the US Open. He hasn’t played since that match so may be a little rusty in the early games.
Back Simon if Roger Vasselin breaks and then holds.
