4th November 2014

I had the day off yesterday but the liquidity on the WTA Challenger in France looked pretty good as the matches are streamed.

WTA Open GDF Suez de Limoges, 12:00 – Mladenovic v Sasnovich

Mladenovic starts as slight favourite at 1.84 but she has won just 2 of her last 10 matches. One of those was against a tired Pliskova and the other was as a 1.20 favourite.

Sasnovich has been doing a little better and reached the quarter finals of an ITF event a couple of weeks ago.

Mladenovic’s best hope today is to serve well. She has the home crowd supporting her but when her confidence is low as it must be now the pressure to perform at home may work against her.

I am going with Sasnovich to win this one but would like a lower price to lay Mladenovic. Below 1.50 would be OK.

WTA Open GDF Suez de Limoge, 17:00 – Niculescu v Razzano

Niculescu leads the head to heads 3-1 but it was Razzano who won their only meeting in 2014. That was in January and also in France on an indoor hard court.

Niculescu won the title in Guangzhou in September on hard courts but doesn’t have a good record in indoor courts. She has won just 3 of her last 10 indoors.

Razzano has won a few match indoors recently in ITF events. She reached the quarter finals last week in Nantes but retired after losing the first set 5-7 to Schmiedlova.

Niculescu starts at 1.40 and whilst she should be favourite as long as Razzano’s injury wasn’t too serious last week I think she can push Niculescu’s price higher.

If Niculescu is interested in this tournament she should come through this one with the win.
