WTA Eastbourne, Quarter Final: Wozniacki v Barty

Due to start at 2 pm

Wozniacki 1.93, Barty 2.04

Wozniacki has won both their previous matches. They last met  in May this year in Madrid on clay. She won in 3 sets. The other match was in Aug 2017 on a hard court in Cincinnati in straight sets.

Slightly better overall results for Wozniacki but both are having a great season. Grass results this year favour Barty. They have both won 83% of their grass matches in the last 12 months but Barty has played twice as many matches.

This is Wozniacki’s first grass tournament of the season. Her results on other surfaces have been pretty strong and included a grand slam title at the Australian Open. She reached the final of this tournament last year.

Barty won the title on grass in Nottingham. Her results this season have been consistent. The mental side of her game can let down but she does seem to be improving this.

We have a good chance of 3 sets. Slight edge to Wozniacki and I would expect her to play the big points better. Lay Barty if she breaks first or takes the first set.
