Andy Murray wins BBC Sports Personality of the Year

Last night in a ceremony in Belfast Scotland’s Andy Murray was once again voted BBC Sports Personality of the Year. He had won in 2013.

Murray helped Great Britain to their first Davis Cup title in 79 years when they beat Belgium in the final. Murray has reached the final of the Australian Open and the semi finals of the the French open and Wimbledon. He also ended the season ranked number 2 in the world behind Novak Djokovic.

Murray had 35% of the viewers’ votes


The British Davis Cup team won the award for Team of the Year.
