14:00 – Berdych v Nishikori
Nishikori leads their previous meetings 4-2. Their last 2 matches were both exhibitions in 2014. They won 1 each.
Nishikori has admitted that he isn’t 100% fit. He was totally outplayed by Djokovic in his first match.
Berdych was competitive in the opening set with Federer and went an early break of serve ahead. Federer stepped up a gear or two in their second set and never looked troubled.
If Nishikori is not fit then he will struggled in what will be a long match. Three sets are quite likely but I have to favour Berdych.
The price on Berdych is too low and the market seems to be assuming Nishikori is not fit.
Try for 1.80 on Berdych.
20:00 – Djokovic v Federer
This one is likely to decide who goes through to the semi finals as the group leader.
They have played 6 times this season and Djokovic leads 4-2. Federer only failed to take a set in one of those matches which was on clay.
The court is a little slow at the O2 so I think we see some long rallies. Djokovic has the edge when it comes to waiting for the right ball to try to hit the winner.
Their matches this year would suggest Djokovic wins in 3 sets. No value on Djokovic at 1.33 given Federer’s record at the year end finals.
