Wang has much better overall results in the last 12 months. Her hard court results are also stronger. She reached the quarter finals of the US Open where she beat Barty in straight sets. The rest of the season was a little disappointing. She was strong on hard courts in the first half of 2019.
Sasnovich reached the quarter finals in Brisbane last year and the semi finals in Sydney. She will be hoping to make another strong start to the season. After a good start to 2019 the rest of her season was poor. She ended it on a high note when she reached the final of the Limoges Challenger on indoor courts in December.
Both players had solid wins in the last round. Back Wang around 2.10. Lay the set 1 winner.
