There are some horrible prices today but as we saw yesterday in the Federer v Wawrinka match anything can happen….almost!
Murray really shouldn’t be troubled by Stepanek although “The Alien” did beat Murray in the last game they played on a hard court ( 2009). As with the Fed match yesterday though it will need a poor set from the favourite to give the underdog a chance of victory. Cheap enough lay at 1.10 but you would be advised to take 1.04 or 1.05.
Haas has won 2 of the last 3 matches he played against Djokovic although both wins were in 2009. When they played this year in the Rogers Cup though Haas still managed to take the second set. I’d say this lay has more chance of giving us a decent trade and at 1.09 is even cheaper than Murray. Haas destroyed a below par Tipsarevic yesterday and beat Almagro in the first round.
Fed isn’t a back at 1.15 against Cilic but I won’t be laying either. I will wait for a higher price to back him. I think the major scare he had yesterday will have focused his mind and we will maybe see a tennis masterclass from the number 1.
In the WTA game Goerges has been in decent form this week and I’d expect her to come through in straight sets against Arvidsson. I can’t back her at 1.43 though as I’m sure we will see higher. I’ll wait for a break point or even a break before backing the German.
No point laying Azarenka against Martic. There you go, I jinxed her for you 😉
Flipkens has been in good form this week although made a meal of her match yesterday. She went a break down in the first set but broke back immediately. She broke again to lead 4-2 but was broken herself in both her remaining service games of the set.
I think she will put up a good fight against Ivanovic but the Serb hasn’t lost a set so far. 1.32 is a little tight and as usual I will be waiting for a higher price on Ivanovic.
