18:00 – Djokovic v Murray
Djokovic leads the head to heads 17-9. He has won their last 6.
Djokovic has dropped 2 sets this week. One to Dolgopolov and one to Klizan. Murray has also lost a couple of sets but both looked very solid in their semi finals. Djokovic in particular served exceptionally well against isner. He didn’t face a single break point and lost just 13 points on his own serve. Murray controlled his match with Berdych and was always one setp ahead.
I’m not convinced that Murray believes he can beat Djokovic at the moment. His last win was in the Wimbledon final in 2013. Djokovic has the edge in every part of their games. Even if Murray gets his nose in front Djokovic can play the mind games better than Murray too. Murray started well in their Australian Open final but in Indian Wells he was never in the match. Hopefully he can put in a better performance today and give us a better price on Djokovic.
I won’t be backing at 1.31 but if Murray gets an early break I will back Djokovic.
