Paris – Friday’s matches

The only juicy match was Djokovic v Tsonga but as Djokovic has pulled out what does that leave us?

Berdych did actually beat Murray in their last match but Murray has raised his game onto another plane in tha last 12 months.

1.20 is obviously a bit low so I will be waiting for a higher price rather than laying rfom the start. Every chance that Murray runs all over him.

Update: Right from the start Murray didn’t look right. He was grimacing often and its never a good sign with him when he is thinking more about injuries than about winning the match.

Murray won the first set but Berdych fought back to take the second in a tie break.

It was hard to pick a winner in the third and I actually thought Murray would take it but it was Berdych who came through to win 4-6, 7-6, 6-4.

Monaco was getting battered by Fish (!) until the American started to have problems with his thigh that caused him to retire early in the third set.

Federer straight sets.

Update: Easy win for Federer who looked a little bored.

6-3, 7-5.

Ferrer and Isner have had some tight matches in the past but they haven’t played since Ferrer reached the dizzy heights of 5th in the world.

Isner was much better in his match with Lopez, probably because I had tipped Lopez, and will keep this tight if his serve turns up.

This is another match where I will be waiting for a higher price. That also gives me time to watch the opening few games and assess who is better on the day. If Ferrer’s level drops a little then he will struggle to hold his own serve.

Hmm I have just talked myself into including Isner as one of the punting tips on the forum….

Update: I tipped Isner to win in my punting tips and he was able to take it in 3 sets.

6-3, 3-6, 6-3.
