Djokovic’s price is drifting. I though 1.23 against Dodig was big but its now 1.32 . Got to be an injury worry for that price.
Stakhovsky v Troicki:
Head to heads are 2-1 to troicki who won their last matc in January this year in straight sets.
Stakhovsky played ok against tired Nishikori yesterday. That will have done his confidence a world of good.
Troicki lost in the first round in Basel to Baghdatis so should be fresh. He has played a semi final and a final since September
I feel that rescent form has Troicki as a firm favourite here and 1.52 is a fair SP. Stakhovsky will probably cause him some problems early on but I expect the Serb to come through. He will be more consistent over the course of the match and Stak will start trying to play big ground strokes to get the ball past his opponent. A few of those will come off but the majority will miss the target.
Part stake on from the start. We might see a slow start from Troicki.
Almagro v Seppi:
Seppi won their only previous match which was at Wimbledon last year. He wn in straight sets.
Seppi’s “old” bones must be creaking a bit soon, surely? He has been in a fantastic run of form but at some stage he needs to rest.
Almagro still has a chance of reaching the World Tour Finals and that will mean he is very motivated. He played doubles yesterday with Ferrero so that will have helped him get usedf to the courts.
If Almagro can get his serve and backhand going ( we haven’t seen either consistently in recent games) then he will take the win.
I’ll be laying Seppi from the start.
