12:00 – Fischer v Bellucci
Rankings are 164 and 24. Head to head is 1-0 to Fischer.
Both players are probably more comfortable on clay courts. Bellucci has a consistent serve and wins 76% of his service games.
Fischer has a decent serve but is a little weaker when returning. We could see a tie break or two today.
Bellucci has improved his overall consistency over the last 12 months and I expect him to take this match.
Back Bellucci on serve.
Update: Or maybe three tie breaks! Bellucci won 6-7, 7-6, 7-6, 6-2.
17:00 Petzschner v Kubot
Rankings are 41 and 53. Thay haven’t played before.
This is the first time in 5 years that Kubot has won a match at Wimbledon.
Petzschner is in great form and reached the semi final in Germany last week where he lost to Federer.
Petzschner wins 81% of his service games and shouldn’t have much problem gettig past Kubot.
Back Petzschner on serve or back him from the start to green up after the first set.
Update: Much closer than I expected. Backing Petzschner from the start to green up ater the first set worked well. Petzschner won 6-4, 3-6, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.
