This will be their first meeting.
Both players are having an amazing season so far and both have only lost once indoors in 2017. They have each won 9 of their last 10 matches indoors.
Vondrousova has come through the qualifying rounds and may start to tire today as she has already played 7 matches. She started well in the semi final but having taken an early break she struggled. She was 2-5 down in the opening set before she regained her confidence and took the set in a tie break. This week her stats are stronger in every major category except service holds. Its quite interesting that the only sets she has lost were in the first 2 qualifying rounds.
Kontaveit has had problems with her second serve in the last 2 rounds. She hit 10 double faults in the quarter final though she got those under control yesterday, hitting just 3 double faults against Sasnovich..
This one is really tough to predict. Both showed signs of tiredness in the semi final but both ended their matches strongly. The stats point to Vondrousova taking this. My only concern is fatigue. If she was the underdog I would not hesitate to back her.
Good chance of 3 sets.
